Cabot Year 2

We had a fantastic time during the Gamelan workshop. Here are some pictures of us playing the different musical instruments.  This is Ed, he taught us how to play the different instruments, we even learnt a tune. WE also learnt that Gamelan music is from Indonesia.

As part of  DT Week, Year 1 and 2 made some delicious ice-cream to link with our topic 'The Seaside'

On Thursday 28th September Year 1 and 2 went on a fantastic trip to Weston Super Mare. Take a look at our photos to see what we got up to.  We went paddling in the sea, some of us got a bit too wet!  We worked together to build some amazing sand castles.  Some of us had a game of bat and ball, it was quite tricky!  After lunch we had a game of duck duck goose, lots of passers by stopped to enjoy our game! Finally we ate our yummy ice creams.

Last week Year 2 took part in our Four Schools Spelling Bee. All the children were fantastic and knew so many spellings, we had to move onto Year 3 words! It was a nail biting end as Cabot and Glenfrome were head to head in the last round. Eventually Glenfrome won.  The last round......Cabot and Glenfrome head to head

Yesterday Year 2 went to Pizza Express and made our very own Pizza. The Pizza Express staff were very kind and helpful and showed us how to create our own pizzas. Here are some photos of us in action as master chefs!

Last week we went on a fantastic trip to Leigh Woods. We took part in so many fun activities. Here are some pictures from the day. The toasted marshmallows were yummy!  Look at our amazing dens.  We made our own pizzas in the outdoor pizza oven. We collected wild garlic to add into the dough. They were delicious!  We created pictures using leaves, stones, charcoal and sticks.
