Welcome back to Year 2, we have so much exciting learning to do this year and I really look forward to sharing it with you all!


We've had a very exciting start to the year, our highlight so far has been our WOW day, linked to our topic 'Blast Off''. We linked some of these activities to our text in literacy, 'Man on the Moon.' Ask your child to tell you this story, we have learnt it using a text map.

Trip to Weston Super Mare

On Thursday 28th September Year 1 and 2 went on a fantastic trip to Weston Super Mare. Take a look at our photos to see what we got up to.  We went paddling in the sea, some of us got a bit too wet!  We worked together to build some amazing sand castles.  Some of us had a game of bat and ball, it was quite tricky!  After lunch we had a game of duck duck goose, lots of passers by stopped to enjoy our game! Finally we ate our yummy ice creams.

Welcome to Year 2

Our topic this term is 'Man on the Moon'. We are using the story The Man on the Moon as inspiration for our topic. We have already written our own stories based on it. Last week we had an amazing wow day where we learnt lots about the different planets, we made alien hats, dressed up as astronauts and made jelly. We even had a visit from our alien friend!
