RSPB Visit

This week we were lucky enough to have a visit from the RSPB (Royal society for the protection of birds). 


We enjoyed an assembly where we learnt about different species of birds and then we went outside to explore nature within our school grounds. We used a tally system when looking for different things that affect habitats within our outdoor spaces. We realised that we need more log piles so creepy crawlies have another place to live!

Forest Schools Visit

Last week we went on a fantastic trip to Leigh Woods. We took part in so many fun activities. Here are some pictures from the day. The toasted marshmallows were yummy!  Look at our amazing dens.  We made our own pizzas in the outdoor pizza oven. We collected wild garlic to add into the dough. They were delicious!  We created pictures using leaves, stones, charcoal and sticks.

Trip to Weston Super Mare

On Thursday 28th September Year 1 and 2 went on a fantastic trip to Weston Super Mare. Take a look at our photos to see what we got up to.  We went paddling in the sea, some of us got a bit too wet!  We worked together to build some amazing sand castles.  Some of us had a game of bat and ball, it was quite tricky!  After lunch we had a game of duck duck goose, lots of passers by stopped to enjoy our game! Finally we ate our yummy ice creams.
