The Great Fire of London.

The Great Fire of London
2nd September 1666

In Terms 3 and 4 our history topic is 'The Great Fire of London'. On Monday we had our WOW day. During the day we learnt so much about the great fire through a range of activities. 

 We turned cardboard boxes into black and white Tudor houses.

We made delicious bread rolls in our school kitchen. We worked together with Year 1, it was a lot of fun and a little bit messy! Did you know that the Great Fire of London started in a bakery? 

We made a timeline of what happened over the 4 days that the fire was burning. 

Here are our finished houses. 

In the afternoon we went outside and burnt the houses. It was quite windy and this caused the fire to spread quickly, just like in the real fire.
