Welcome back to Term 3!

Happy new Year and welcome back to Term 3. We have had a fantastic year so far, a real highlight for me was the winter play, Ralph the Reindeer! Thank you so much for all of your support with learning lines, costumes and coming to watch the play, it was a great success! We have a very exciting term ahead of us and we can't wait to share it all with you!

Welcome to Year 2

Our topic this term is 'Man on the Moon'. We are using the story The Man on the Moon as inspiration for our topic. We have already written our own stories based on it. Last week we had an amazing wow day where we learnt lots about the different planets, we made alien hats, dressed up as astronauts and made jelly. We even had a visit from our alien friend! Wildlife Photographer of the Year Exhibition

Year 2 were so lucky to have been given the opportunity to visit the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition at the MShed in Bristol.  National Friendly, a Bristol-based mutual society, and Ablaze, a charity which targets inequality  amongst  the young in the South West worked alongside us to organise and fund this thought provoking and inspiring trip. During our time at the MShed we managed to explore the whole museum, our favourite parts were the bus and the fruit and veg shop. You can see us enjoying ourselves in the photos below.  The photography exhibition was amazing and we couldn't believe that children had taken some of the photos of the wildlife, this inspired many of the children to have a go at taking photos themselves.    Thank you to everyone who helped to make this exciting day happen, Year two had the best time!
